# Presale on DEXRise

The Presale service helps emerging projects **raise funding or initial liquidity** by running a token sale event on DEXRise. Projects list their presale, investors buy in during the event window, and every purchase settles **directly on-chain** — with full transparency and security.

## Key characteristics

| Aspect             | Details                                                                                                                                                                                                            |
| ------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Purpose** | Raise funding or initial liquidity for emerging projects |
| **Buying** | Through an easy, simple **Buy Panel** — designed for complete beginners and professionals alike |
| **Execution**      | All purchases settle **directly on-chain**                                                                                                                                                                         |
| **Contract types** | Two models: [immediate delivery](/dexrise-documentation/presale/contract-types.md#immediate-delivery-contracts) or [pending delivery](/dexrise-documentation/presale/contract-types.md#pending-delivery-contracts) |
| **End conditions** | The presale ends when the **period expires** or the **allocated quantity sells out** — whichever comes first |

## The Buy Panel

The Buy Panel is deliberately simple. A participant only needs to specify the amount they want to buy — the panel handles the rest. There is nothing technical to configure, which makes joining a presale equally accessible to a first-time buyer and an experienced investor.

## What happens when the presale ends

A presale event runs until one of two things happens — whichever occurs first:

* **The event period ends**, or
* **The allocated quantity is fully sold.**

When the event ends, settlement follows fixed rules:

| Outcome          | Result                                                                                                                                                 |
| ---------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Raised funding | Delivered to the project team **after the presale period has fully ended** |
| Unsold tokens | Delivered to the project team |
| Purchased tokens | Delivered per the event's [contract type](/dexrise-documentation/presale/contract-types.md) — immediately at purchase, or after the presale fully ends |

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://dexrise.gitbook.io/dexrise-documentation/presale/overview.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
